The History of the Museum

The American Museum of Art is dedicated to the cultivation and presentation of modern and contemporary visual expression, from the experimental to the modern masterpiece. In honor of my distant, but never the less talented relative, Thomas Hardy, the Museum embodies the quizzical and idiosyncratic spirit that made Hardy one of the noted authors and artists of his time.
